Latest news circulating around the internet from Las Vegas says that the RAM- random access memory has been hit with a facelift and we now have a new type of RAM in the name of Magnetoresistive RAM (MRAM). Primary storage devices where the RAM perfectly fit in, has had a number of advances especially in relation of their usage with small devices like micro computers. Unlike the DRAM that uses electrical charges of zeros and ones, the MRAM uses magnetic charges

What are the main advancements?

The contents of the DRAM are lost when the power goes off, but with MRAM or RRAM - Resistive RAM it would be possible to instantly resume a computing session even after the machine has been switched off.
